What Are Little Boys Made Of or You Are What You Eat

Steve made a deal with our boys as we embarked on our adventure to Europe. In order to encourage them to try new foods, he told them that for every new food they tried, they could select what he would eat the next day, however undesireable it may seem. The following are some of the foods they tried along with the foods they chose for Steve to ingest.
In Edinburgh: curry, deep fried haggis pudding, deep fried hamburger patty, fish soup, fried seaweed; in Keswick: Lamb pate; in York: chicken pate, Thai food, Yorkshire pudding, toad in the hole, squid and chili pickle salad; in Bath: wood pidgeon, duck, Roman Bath water; in Paris: escargot (snails).

  1. This post got lost of "ewwws" from our kids. What we really want to know is which things the boys ate and which ones Steve. Morgan wants to know how the snails tasted. (Is that what is in front of Tyler in this picture?) Also, we want to know what toad in a hole is. We eat something with that name, but it is just an egg cooked in a piece of bread that we cut a shape out of.

  2. P.S. - Emma wants to know how the bath water tasted. She tasted ours yesterday and thought it was pretty good.

  3. Steve and Tyler tried everything on the list. Snails taste like dirt with butter and herbs. Yes, that is Tyler about to eat the snail. He ate another after that. Toad in the hole is Yorkshire pudding(bowl shaped pancake/souffle) with a sausage link in the middle. It's similar to pig in a blanket, but better.

  4. Tyler says the water tastes like mineral rotten eggs
